Mission
Allyship Projects is dedicated to empowering the Latin American community and promoting ethnic equity in Aotearoa New Zealand by fostering cultural integration and reciprocal exchange.
Our mission is to celebrate our rich cultural heritage while embracing the diversity of Aotearoa through language, dance, and traditions. We create spaces for cultural exchange, inviting others to become allies in supporting our community. Through initiatives such as skill-building workshops delivered in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, as well as support for small businesses, we aim to provide opportunities for growth and connection.
Guided by the values of Manaakitanga (care), Kotahitanga (unity), and Whanaungatanga (relationships), we celebrate the vibrant contributions of Latin Americans while strengthening relationships with all communities. Together, we are building spaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.
Vision
We envision an Aotearoa where the Latin American community, alongside all diverse ethnic groups, flourishes and contributes meaningfully to a unified and inclusive society. We aim to equip individuals with the tools they need to grow personally and professionally while fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Rooted in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we honor partnership, protection, and participation, ensuring that equity and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. By celebrating cultural diversity through traditions and collaborative efforts, we seek to build a stronger, more inclusive nation where every individual feels empowered to achieve their aspirations and contribute to a vibrant, thriving Aotearoa New Zealand.
