Creating community initiatives to promote ethnic equity

Latinas Rising in Aotearoa is a community initiative designed to empower Latina women through three key areas of growth: financial wellbeing, career opportunities, and entrepreneurship. By addressing common challenges faced by Latinas in Aotearoa, the programme aims to provide participants with practical tools, confidence, and support to grow both personally and professionally.

The workshops create a safe and welcoming space where Latinas can connect, learn, and grow together. Sessions focus on strengthening financial knowledge, increasing employment opportunities, and encouraging creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The programme includes 9 workshops plus 1 certification ceremony, with coffee and snacks provided during each session.

Workshops will be delivered in Spanish and Portuguese through different sessions to ensure accessibility for the Latina community, while also encouraging intercultural connection and inclusion.

🎉 Participants who complete the programme will receive recognition during the certification ceremony and become part of a growing network of Latinas supporting each other in Aotearoa.
